NORTHLAND INVESTMENT CORPORATION HELPS BRING JOY OF READING TO LOCAL STUDENTS

10.29.2008, Newton, MA - Northland Investment Corporation is pleased to announce a new partnership with Everybody Wins Metro Boston (EWMB), a nonprofit literacy and mentoring organization. Northland recently joined EWMB's Power Lunch program as a corporate partner, making it possible for the organization to offer its Power Lunch program for the first time at Waltham’s Stanley Elementary School.

Power Lunch, EWMB’s signature program, pairs elementary school students one-to-one with volunteer mentors from local corporations and businesses to read aloud once a week during lunchtime. An innovative program, proven to effectively assist students at risk of educational failure, EWMB Power Lunch gives busy professionals a way to make a meaningful impact on the lives of children in need and the communities they live in.
