Northland Employees Race To New Heights for Good Cause

Employees of Northland, a private equity real estate firm, took first place in a charity fundraising race in Hartford, Connecticut.

The Fight For Air Climb, organized by the American Lung Association as part of an event in multiple cities across the United States, raised money and awareness to support individuals with lung cancer and lung disease. Local firefighters and first responders also took part in full gear in the Hartford edition of the event racing up the stairs of Northland’s 34-story H21 apartment tower in downtown Hartford, raising more than $115,000 for the cause.

The 2024 edition marked Northland’s ninth year as the event’s host and presenting sponsor in Hartford. The firm’s race team included members from its New England portfolio and corporate office in Newton, Massachusetts. Its winning climb time of 30 minutes and 20 seconds was nearly a minute-and-a-half faster than the closest rival.

Northland was led by the team’s fastest climber, Jack Norgren. Stephen Gabriel, H21’s community manager, Stacy Arce, Northland’s regional property manager, organized and executed the event with the H21 staff.
