Northland Steps Up Hurricane Relief Commitment with $100,000 Donation to Florida Communities Impacted by Irma
Donation follows identical contribution to Texas communities devastated by Harvey
NEWTON, MA (SEPTEMBER 21, 2017) –Northland Investment Corporation, a member of the National Multifamily Housing Council’s Top Fifty Owners and one of the largest and fastest-growing owner-operators in the state of Florida, announced today that it has contributed $100,000 to support Hurricane Irma relief efforts. The donation was split between the Florida Disaster Fund and the American Red Cross and the company will match employee contributions up to $25,000. Northland will also waive certain fees at its 31 Florida communities for anyone displaced by the storm.
“Our hearts go out to everyone impacted by Hurricane Irma,” said Suzanne Abair, Northland’s Chief Operating Officer. “As we did in Texas following Hurricane Harvey, we want to support the communities in which we operate and assist those who have been affected by this destructive storm.”
