Northland Expands National Development Platform with Altitude at Vizcaya
Premier multifamily owner and operator to bring sophisticated modern homes to Santa Fe
NEWTON, MA (August 13, 2020) – Northland Investment Corporation today announced the development of Altitude at Vizcaya, a best-in-class multifamily property that will bring 52 high-end apartment homes to the Santa Fe market this fall. Northland’s fifth property in New Mexico, Altitude signifies the firm’s remarkable commitment to the state, where it has invested approximately $300 million across 1,500 units to date.
Located on Rodeo Road adjacent to Northland’s Vizcaya multifamily complex, Altitude will deliver modern luxury apartment homes designed to distinctly honor the architectural style of Santa Fe. The new property will contain beautifully appointed one and two-bedroom apartments in a prime location surrounded by award-winning restaurants, and cultural institutions including the Institute of American Indian Arts and the Museum of Contemporary Native American Arts. Residents will have an opportunity to live within one of Santa Fe’s most vibrant neighborhoods, known for its rich history and thriving arts scene.
“Northland is committed to expanding our development platform within our long-term ownership markets across the Southwest and Southeast that offer a high-quality lifestyle. We are thrilled to do exactly that in Santa Fe with the opening of Altitude at Vizcaya,” said Santo Dettore, a development director at Northland. “This modern property will introduce a high end, best-in-class product to the city’s undersupplied housing market on what was previously an undeveloped lot. We believe Altitude will offer a fantastic brand-new living option to the residents of Santa Fe.”
Altitude boasts premier, market shifting features including 10-foot ceilings, which will be the tallest in Santa Fe, fully equipped chef’s kitchens, in-home washer/dryers, private balconies or patios, faux hardwood floors, stainless steel appliances, subway tile backsplashes, brilliant white quartz countertops and generous walk-in closets. Residents will also enjoy exclusive amenities that include two heated swimming pools, a clubhouse, resident coffee lounge, brand-new state of the art fitness center, business center, and more. Eight-foot windows in each unit provide breathtaking views of the Sangre De Cristo foothills and several national parks. With the rich history of Santa Fe and beautiful natural amenities surrounding this development, Altitude offers an unmatched array of recreational activities for residents to enjoy.
For this project, the firm is currently working with several local partners, which include general contractor Bradbury Stamm Construction, architecture firm Dekker/Perich/Sabatini, and JenkinsGavin for land use and entitlements.
Northland owns and operates more than 25,000 units across the U.S. In addition to Altitude, the firm is developing one of the country’s most transformative projects in recent history, the Northland Newton Development, which will deliver 800 much-needed apartment homes, office and retail space to Greater Boston and will be complemented by 10 acres of open space.
